Taking fresh spirulina, especially in its alive or living form is incredibly easy. Alive Spirulina is tasteless and comes frozen to preserve nutrients and antioxidants, which is contrary to powder, can fall short due to the dehydration process according to state nutrition specialist Susan Mills-Gray.
The most common ways to take Alive Spirulina are:
- Adding Alive Spirulina to smoothies or juice
- Mixing Alive Spirulina with water or coconut water
- Add as ice cream topping
- Eat it as a popsicle
- Adding to drinks like cold tea
- Adding to food like pesto sauce or hummus
We don’t recommend putting fresh spirulina into a blender unless you are going to drink it immediately after.
